Lumbar Radiofrequency Neurotomy

Lumbar Radiofrequency Neurotomy is minimally invasive surgery performed under local anesthetic to treat lower back, buttock, hip, and groin pain. The procedure uses radiofrequency energy delivered to the lumbar medial branch nerves. This disrupts “pain signals” from injured facet joints (small joints between each backbone segment) to the brain, alleviating chronic low back pain stemming from the cervical facet joints.
